Holiday Reading Challenge

In the holidays we had to find a sentence that describes that felling of a character and included the page number where it was found, author, the name of the book and turn it into is poster. Here is the one I made.

Refugee

This week for the "Refugee" activities we had to made to prison in minecraft, because in the book Mahmoud's family tried to get into Hungry and then they where sent to prison and, my guess is that they will be sent home.

Multiplicatin Smorgasboard

In class we are learning Multiplication Smorgasboard. It is multiplying  questions like 8 x 67. But I'll let the slide show do the explaining.

Refugee

In class we are reading a book called "Refugee" by Alan Gratz. In the book the three story's, are all in a different timeline. One is about a boy called Mahmoud, we had a build a raft that he was sailing on to eventually Germany. The other one I did was to film a video of a boy named Josef. He's on a boat when his sick father jumps over board and trys to kill himself. Here is the film we took.

Look Into His Eyes

In class our teacher gave us a (sick) sentence and we had to improve these sentences. We had to use correct punctuation, added detail, answered questions, paragraphs for different ideas and describe using your senses. Here is mine. 

It is night time.

A boy walks on a road.

He sees a figure.

He feels happy.

The big, round, bright, white moon illuminated the streets giving of enough light to see.

A boy walks on a old and run down road, all of the paint marks are no longer viable.

He sees a shodowy figure slowy rise up on the horizon, he seems to be wearing an old baseball cap, a tatered leather jacket, brown trac pants and torn apart sneakers.

He gets fulled with happyins because he hasn’t seen a soul in forever, since the war broke out.

                                           

 

Holiday Homework

This is the second time we have the task of finding a sentence in our book, put an illustration with a sentence that describe the setting, and the page number. Here is the one I did.

Sphero

Recently we worked with Mrs Wallace and Jo with sphero. This time we could choose what we did the options were, making a car, a maze, Chariot and K'nex Chariot. Over the two times we did it I made a maze and K'nex Chariot. Here are the videos. We had to work in buddies with sphero. For making the maze my buddy was Noah, and for making the K'nex Chariot my buddy was Andrew.
